Arnica (Absolute)

from $116.00

Sizes: 5mL, 15mL

Origin: Mexico

Botanical Family: Asteraceae

Latin Name: Arnica Montana

Description:
Arnica absolute essential oil is derived from the flowers and roots of the plant to produce a thick dark oil that smells quite medicinal and herbal. Arnica is also known commonly as Mountain Tobacco among Native Americans and is recognized as a plant of healing and a substitute for tobacco. It has a long history of use in folk medicine originating back to 16th century Germany, Russia and the Swiss Alps. This plant was traditionally used in many forms, such as salves, poultices, teas and homeopathic dilutions for bruises, injuries, muscular aches and pains, as well as reducing fevers and inflammation. Therapeutically, Arnica absolute is also useful as a cardio tonic, anti-anxiety relief, kidney tonic, immune system stimulator, and a Qi tonic for the whole body. Energetically and emotionally, this essence is a powerful wound healer on many levels, offering our system the strength and resources to heal. Because it is sourced from the root and the flower, it has a harmonizing effect on the alignment of our essential nature (Jing) and our heart’s purpose, helping to heal the wounds associated with root chakra as well as emotional wounds that reside in the heart. When we have pain or an injury, apply Arnica as a first aid with intention of healing the deeper aspects of the experience for clear understanding and an overall uplift out of the wounded cycles.
