Description: The aroma of Cistus (also known as Rock Rose) is rich, musky, sweet, earthy and balsamic with an herbaceous undertone. The feeling of the aroma is warm, comforting and restorative. Cistus is a powerful blood coagulator making it useful for wound healing, both for immediate use and cleansing, as well as post wound for prevention of scars and simulating cell regeneration. It is a wonderful skin care remedy (especially when used in combination with the cistus hydrolat!) for wrinkles, acne, blemishes, sun spots and for addressing more chronic or deep seated skin disorders such as psoriasis, eczema, or squamous and basal skin cancer. Cistus assists in boosting the immune system, clearing mucous, and is anti-viral, anti-infectious, anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, anti-arthritic, analgesic, astringent as well as a neuro tonic.
