Description: Lime Petitgrain is steam distilled (unlike the Mexican Lime essential oil which is cold pressed) from the branches, leaves and some of the young fruit when pruning the trees early on in the season. The aroma is woody, earthy and green with refreshing lime at the center balanced by some slightly bitter undertones. The Lime Petitgrain (as with all petitgrains) will not cause photosensitivity because is it steam distilled and because it is primarily produced from the leaves and branches, however it is always recommended to do a test patch when starting with a new essential oil.
