Description: This variety of lavandin is a naturally occurring hybrid, the offspring of lavandula angustifolia (English lavender) and lavandula latifolia (spike lavender). Lavandin hybrids tend to be more hearty, woody and abundant in nature. They also produce higher contents of essential oils than true lavender, making them an affordable alternative with a wide variety of benefits. The aroma of lavandin *grosso has camphorous, woody notes that balance out the typical sweet and floral components of lavender.
