Description: This variety of lavandin is a naturally occurring hybrid, the offspring of lavandula angustifolia (English lavender) and lavandula latifolia (spike lavender). The aroma of Lavandin *Sumian is sweet, rich, floral and slightly creamy. Lavandin *Sumian is high in linalool content which contributes to its anti-anxiety and relaxing effects. Lavandin hybrids are much higher in essential oil content than lavenders, producing about 5 times the amount a lavender distillation would offer. This makes them more affordable and dynamic in the aromatherapy arena. Lavandin *Sumian is analgesic, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, anti-depressant, anti-fungal, anti-viral, calming/grounding and a CNS tonic. This essence is also an immune tonic, blood pressure balancer and detoxifier. It cools heat in the liver and is useful for skin disorders, burns, bruises, hair loss, insomnia, sciatica, rheumatism and digestion.
