Description: The aroma is sweet, minty and refreshing. The yellow birch is slightly stronger and more cleansing than the sweet. This essence is warming, centering and reinforces one’s endurance and willpower. Medicinally, it has strong analgesic qualities, is anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, anti-arthritic, anti-spasmatic, astringent, a blood purifier and a liver tonic. This warming essence should be layered in between two cool temp essences (ex. lavender and cypress). Birch has naturally occurring high levels of methyl salicylate (the active ingredient in aspirin) making it ideal for joint/muscle pain, or injury.
