Description: The Cork Bark Fir is also known as the Subalpine or Rocky Mountain Fir. This Arizona Cork Bark Fir is from our local San Francisco Peaks here in Northern Arizona. These peaks are considered a holy place to approximately 13 Native American tribes from this region and are still honored and utilized today for their many gifts and the sacred energies that the medicinal plants growing here are said to possess when harvested traditionally and respectfully with the spirit of the ancestors and the land. The aroma is enchanting, woodsy-sweet, crisp, coniferous, and balsamic. All conifer essential oils assist the body with detoxification and are general body tonics. Conifers in general encourage the breath to deepen and gently rejuvenate and relax both the body and the mind, like bathing in the healing energy of a crisp evergreen forest. Arizona Cork Bark Fir is anti-anxiety, analgesic, anti-arthritic, anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, anti-infectious, and a tonic to the kidneys, adrenals & Central Nervous System. If you are local to this area, it is often said that our local plant medicines are much more effective when it comes to illness because the body vibrationally and energetically recognizes them and is able to receive and utilize them more effectively than a foreign or exotic plant essence. You might consider keeping this essence on hand when traveling, for cold/flu symptoms, and for general body fatigue. Energetically and Emotionally, this essence is for the medicine man/woman within you. The old wise Cork Bark Fir has been in relationship with humans for many generations and is a gentle and kind spirit friend when you want to feel connected to your ancestors, when you feel disconnected from nature and from your own true nature, and when you need soft yet firm encouragement to allow your true nature to emerge.
